Implants & Uplift
The art of breast enhancement is to create a breast that is pert, shapely, sits correctly on the curved chest wall and feels soft. The ultimate goal is to enhance breast appearance not just size. Rozina is particularly skilled in selecting appropriately sized and shaped implants depending on the natural breast tissue quality and the dimensions of the breast. Rozina is experienced in using all types of implants: round, shaped, textured, smooth, microthane coated.
Dr Rozina Ali is proud to be a leading advocate of fat transfer (lipofilling) to enhance breast size and shape, add curves and cleavage where required and to even out any asymmetry or differences in volume. She has a extensive experience and great outcomes in fat transfer. Increasingly her clients are choosing to have implants and capsules removed and where possible have breasts augmented with their own fat alone. Not only does this avoid problems of implants, capsular contracture and scars, it also results in breasts that feel soft and natural.
Rozina is renowned for minimising the scar beneath the breast, using a well-placed curved incision.

The size of women’s breasts may be determined by several factors, such as inherited genes, body weight and hormonal influences. They can, therefore, be a problem to some women early in adolescence or may not become uncomfortable until middle age following the menopause or the use of HRT. The problem of large breasts, however, may cause similar problems at all ages and these are chiefly backache, neck pain, grooves in the shoulders from bra straps, rashes under the breasts and the feeling of self consciousness. Because of the sexual nature of breasts the undue prominence may attract unwanted attention from the opposite sex, comments and sexual innuendoes. These can cause psychological distress to many women. One of the commonest complaints of women with large breasts is that it is very difficult to wear fashionable clothes and indulge in active sports, particularly in the summer months.
Rozina considers breast reduction to be one of the most fulfilling and effective chest rejuvenation procedures and it frequently leads to a significant improvement in quality of life. Where possible Dr Rozina Ali prefers to avoid drains and to minimise hospital stay.

Male Breast Reduction – Gynaecomastia
Gynecomastia (pronounced guy-ne-co-mastia) is a medical term meaning male breast enlargement. In the majority of cases there is no known cause and, although rarely talked about, it is a common condition. For men who feel self-conscious about their appearance, breast-reduction surgery can be helpful. The procedure removes tissue from the breasts, and in extreme cases excess skin. This information sheet will give you a basic understanding of what is involved if you are considering surgery to correct gynecomastia. It can’t answer all of your questions, as a lot depends on your personal situation.
Breast reconstruction surgery is the creation of a new breast shape, or mound, using surgery. It may be done after removal of a whole breast (mastectomy) or part of the breast (breast-conserving surgery).
You can have reconstruction at the same time as breast cancer surgery (immediate reconstruction), or months or years later (delayed reconstruction). Breast reconstruction often involves several operations to give you the best outcome possible.
There are usually different options available for breast reconstruction and your breast surgeon will explain which one is likely to suit you best.
The new breast shape can be created using an implant and/or your own tissue from another part of the body, usually the back or lower abdomen (belly). Reconstructed breasts don’t usually have a nipple but one can be created with surgery and tattooing. Prosthetic stick-on nipples can also be used.
The aim of breast reconstruction is to create a breast shape that looks as natural as possible and to try to match the breast on the other side in size, shape and position. However, even with the best outcome, there will be differences between the remaining breast and the reconstructed one, and sometimes surgery on the other side can help. This can be done at the same time as the reconstruction, but waiting for the reconstruction to heal and settle into position may be better. Your specialist team will give you an idea of how long this is likely to be.
Where both breasts are being reconstructed, the aim is to recreate breasts that match and are in proportion to the body shape.
There are usually different options available for breast reconstruction and your breast surgeon and breast care nurse will explain which one is likely to suit you best. It’s helpful if you can take some time to consider these options without feeling under pressure to make a decision. You may need a couple of discussions with your specialist team before you feel confident deciding what to do.
Having a breast reconstruction will not increase the chances of the breast cancer coming back.
Ageing, illness, sun exposure, weight loss can each have detrimental effects on the various facial components:- bone structure, dentition, soft tissue, muscle volume and fat compartments. Loss of facial volume and poor quality or aged inelastic skin can result in unwanted wrinkles, deep lines or grooves, loose skin and jowls, all of which can be surgically addressed by a facelift.
Facelifts are not just about removing excess skin but about tightening the firm tissue layer covering the underlying muscles (SMAS layer), repositioning the soft tissue and gently redraping the skin to leave a natural looking rejuvenated face. Facelifts are particularly effective at correcting the lower face and neck and are designed for the scars to be well hidden around the ear or in the hairline.
Rozina’s passion is the practice of elegant surgery and she enjoys offering beautiful, nuanced, 3-dimensional facelifts that reposition sagging underlying structures, remove excess skin and are offered in combination with fat as a natural filler to reinflate the superficial and deep fat pads and return contours and depth to a face.
Focused correction of loose skin or excess fat under the chin is an increasingly popular request from men and women of all ages. A contoured jawline and chin can be treated with open excision and removal of fat and tightening of the underlying muscles. The scar is placed behind the chin crease and not easily visible. Rozina offers such surgery as a day case procedure or in combination with a full facelift.

With ageing and hormonal changes, skin loses its natural elasticity, causing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and excess skin. This is most prominent early on around the eyes. Thus, the skin of upper or lower eyelids may sag and look creased, often along with some bulging or herniation of fat of the lower lids – the classic “bags under eyes” appearance.
Blepharoplasty refers to trimming of excess skin, removal or shrinkage of excess fat and in the case of lower eyelid bags, the restraining ligament can be released and the fat of the lower eye re-draped to soften the lid-cheek junction. This results in more youthful, open looking eyes with skin that is tighter and smoother. Blepharoplasty is a remarkably effective procedure in achieving instant rejuvenation of the upper half of the face. The scar is designed to be placed discreetly within the eyelid crease and if required, extended into a natural crow’s line.
Surgery is usually carried out as a local anaesthetic day case procedure, or can be carried out in combination with other aesthetic procedures such as a neck lift or facelift.
