Radiofrequency offers an effective and comfortable means of facial tightening and wrinkle reduction, as well as firming areas of loose skin (such as under the arms) and to provide focal skin sculpturing.
How does Radio Frequency Work?
Radiofrequency energy is used to heat the skin tissue to stimulate collagen production to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and tighten the skin.
Using a safe and effective delivery head, Radiofrequency(RF) energy is applied to the skin, causing gentle heating of the tissue
The heating action accelerates collagen production and leads to a contraction of the collagen fibres, restructuring and tightening the skin
A thin layer of cosmetic product or gel is applied to the treatment area and the RF applicator is moved in circular motions over the skin. The RF will heat the skin and deeper subcutaneous tissue layers.
Once the required temperature is reached, it is maintained at this temperature for a few minutes, ensuring that it is not overheated. The technical expertise of the Therapist is in maintaining a suitable temperature over the treatment range without allowing it to cool or over heat the former diminishing the clinical results and the latter raising the risk of causing thermal damage.
Treatment during pregnancy is not advised
